The Green Standard
Standard Printing Company is committed to implementing environmentally conscious practices and products in our manufacturing and everyday operations.
As a company, we recycle all eligible waste products such as paper, plastic and offset printing plates, among other materials. We also practice energy conservation by utilizing energy efficient LED lighting throughout our plant.
We are members of the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) and the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and have recently taken another step to demonstrate our dedication by becoming certified by the Rainforest Alliance to the standards set forth by the FSC.
SFI is an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to promoting sustainable forest management that has produced Standards and Rules extended through the year 2021.
FSC is an international non-profit organization that promotes environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial, and economically viable management of the world’s forests. Products carrying the FSC label are independently certified to assure consumers that they come from forests that are managed to meet the social, economic, and ecological needs of present and future generations.
The Rainforest Alliance is an international non-profit organization building an alliance to protect forests, improve the livelihoods of farmers and forest communities, promote their human rights, and help them mitigate and adapt to the climate crisis.
