Standard Printing continues investing in the technologies used in its Prepress Department.

The Prepress Department at Standard Printing will:

Check in your digital files
Preflight your file
Adjust your file for printability
Rip, trap and proof your files for customer approval

To maintain quality every step of the way, logs are maintained to assure the reproducibility of the project. Our experienced desktop operators are eager to assist you and insure that your job stays on schedule.

The Prepress Department uses the latest software and hardware available on the market today. We are always looking for improvements in our equipment, software, and knowledge base. This is an ongoing process resulting from the constant change seen in prepress.

Digital Asset Management

Our Prepress Department is experienced in digital asset management and maintains several large servers for digital storage.
Part of the asset management procedure includes safely backing up files on and off location with redundant backup sets to assure restorability.
We have a dedicated full T1 connection for uploads and downloads in conjunction with an in-house FTP and Mass Transit server.
We can use files immediately after they are posted to our server. This has proven to be effective in keeping time sensitive jobs on schedule.

Scanning Services

A high-end drum scanner and a flatbed scanner are utilized to meet your scanning needs.
A large format copy dot scanner is used to convert film to a digital format that exceeds the original film in quality.

Proofs

Digital proofing is available for color reproduction contract proofs.
Dylux style proofs for backed up, trimmed and folded proofs.
Throughout the plant we maintain and use a 5000K viewing booth for color viewing.
A color sensitive environment is maintained in the Prep Department where color editing takes place.

File Size and Other Services
We handle your large files up to 43" X 63" in size.
